Ohio State defensive tackle Ty Hamilton announced on Twitter that he will be returning for another season, his fifth with the Buckeyes, instead of entering the NFL draft.
Hamilton had 38 tackles this season, 4.5 for a loss and two sacks, starting in six games, splitting time with Mike Hall Jr. who has already announced that he will enter the NFL draft.
There have now been three defensive linemen to commit to another year with Ohio State after Tyleik Williams and Jack Sawyer both announced their intentions to play as a Buckeye for at least one more year. Other players who also have said they will be back for 2024 are linebacker Cody Simon and safety Lathan Ransom.
Hamilton has two years of eligibility left because of a redshirt year in 2020, and the extra year due to COVID-19.
There are still many more Buckeyes with decisions to make about their future, but they will be coming soon since the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the draft is Jan. 15.
