- 2021 Ohio State five-star quarterback commit Kyle McCord won the Elite 11 Pro Day competition on June 30.
- Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy 2022 four-star running back and Ohio State target Kaytron Allen received an offer from Florida State on June 30.
- Houston (Texas) Klein Cain 2022 four-star running back and Ohio State target Jaydon Blue helped his FAST Houston-Austin Texas squad win a Battle Royale 7 on 7 tournament in Orlando.
- Reading (Pa.) Governor Mifflin 2022 four-star running back Nicholas Singleton told Rivals that Ohio State is the leader in his recruitment: “In my opinion, they’re No. 1 for me right now.”
- Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson four-star defensive tackle Tyleik Williams included Ohio State in his top six schools on June 24, along with Alabama, LSU, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia Tech. Williams is ranked as the 10th-best defensive tackle and No. 160 prospect overall in the 2021 class.
- Ironton, Ohio four-star linebacker Reid Carrico, who committed to Ohio State on Sept. 10, 2019, set a new personal record by repping 225 pounds 25 times on the bench press. Carrico is ranked as the second-best inside linebacker in 2021.
- 2021 Cincinnati La Salle three-star cornerback Devonta Smith decommitted from Ohio State on June 25, then pledged his services to Alabama on June 29.
- Smith’s teammate, 2021 three-star safety Jaylen Johnson, reaffirmed his commitment to the Buckeyes on June 29.
- 2021 Virginia Beach (Va.) Princess Anne five-star cornerback Tony Grimes committed to North Carolina on June 30. He previously included Ohio State among his four finalists.
