Ohio State Safety Jaylen Johnson Enters Transfer Portal

According to several reports, Ohio State sophomore safety Jaylen Johnson has entered his name into the transfer portal.

Johnson, a former three-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class out of Cincinnati La Salle, struggled to find his footing at Ohio State. He tore his ACL shortly after arriving on campus, causing him to miss his entire freshman season.

He did not take the field for the Buckeyes this season, either on defense or special teams. His absence was likely as a healthy scratch, as he was only listed as unavailable against Toledo.

Johnson will have three seasons of eligibility remaining once he commits to a new school.
