Zion Grady, Jarquez Carter Lose Black Stripes

A pair of defensive lineman have lost their black stripes.

Freshmen defensive end Zion Grady and defensive tackle Jarquez Carter shed their black stripes on Wednesday, becoming the 10th and 11th Ohio State rookies to earn stripe removals.

Grady loses the black stripe after playing nine snaps and earning two tackles, a sack and a tackle for loss in Ohio State’s 70-0 win over Grambling State. 

Carter, meanwhile, logged 22 snaps across Ohio State’s matchups with Texas and Grambling State, recording a tackle against the Tigers on Saturday.
