UCLA Quarterback Nico Iamaleava Reportedly Won’t Play Against Ohio State

The Bruins will be without their top player when UCLA plays Ohio State on Saturday, with quarterback Nico Iamaleava out, dealing with a concussion he suffered last week, according to Brett McMurphy of On3.
It was in UCLA’s 28-21 loss to Nebraska last week that Iamaleava suffered a concussion, but McMurphy reported that symptoms didn’t show up until after the game, and the signal caller continues to deal with them this weekend.
Backing up Iamaleava will likely be sophomore Luke Duncan, who was a three-star prospect in the 2023 class. Duncan has not attempted a pass during his entire three seasons with the Bruins, but now will have to go up against the No. 1 scoring defense in the country in Ohio State.
The Buckeyes look to improve to 10-0 this season tonight with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff against UCLA at Ohio Stadium.
