Three-Star Offensive Tackle Aaron Thomas Decommits From Ohio State

Ohio State gained two offensive line commitments in the 2027 class on Sunday, but lost one from the 2026 class on Monday when three-star offensive tackle Aaron Thomas backed off of his pledge to the Buckeyes.
Thomas committed to Ohio State on June 25 after all of his official visits and now will loom elsewhere.
Other than to Ohio State, Thomas also took official visits to Florida State, Arkansas, and Texas A&M. He took another visit to Tallahassee, Fla., on Oct. 4 when the Seminoles took on Miami (Fla.) for a 28-22 loss.
Thomas, from Phoenix Mountain Pointe, is the No. 506 player in the country, according to 247Sports composite rankings. He is the No. 8 player in the state of Arizona.
The Buckeyes still have pledges from four-star offensive tackles Sam Greer and Maxwell Riley in the 2026 class as well as three-star interior lineman Tucker Smith.
The Buckeyes hosted Penn State commit Kevin Brown on an unofficial visit for the 38-14 win over Penn State on Saturday, and they will likely continue to pursue him after the visit reportedly went well.
