Three Buckeyes Named Preseason Walter Camp All-Americans

As anticipation continues to build for the 2023 college football season, three Ohio State players have already garnered attention for the upcoming campaign.

Wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka, as well as linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, were recognized as Walter Camp Preseason All-Americans on Friday. Harrison and Eichenberg earned first-team recognition while Egbuka garnered second-team honors.

Harrison is primed for another big year for the Buckeyes after a breakout sophomore campaign in 2022. Harrison reeled in 77 receptions for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns — all of which were team-best marks.

Aiding Harrison’s efforts in the receiving game was Egbuka, who also helped fill the void of former Buckeyes Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave. In his sophomore season, Egbuka caught 74 receptions while tallying 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Eichenberg served as the centerpiece for a much-improved defense in 2022, leading the Buckeyes in tackles with 120 while adding 12 tackles for loss, 2 1/2 sacks, and an interception returned for a touchdown.
