Sonny Styles Earns PFF’s Top Linebacker Grade in Week 3, Named to Team of the Week Alongside Caden Curry

Pro Football Focus selected Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles and defensive end Caden Curry to its team of the week following their dominant performances in the Buckeyes 37-9 victory over Ohio Saturday.

Styles was PFF’s highest graded linebacker of the week, earning a 89.2 grade for an outing where the senior racked up six total tackles (one solo), one quarterback hurry and a forced fumble on fourth down that led to an Ohio State touchdown on the following offensive possession.

Curry had four tackles on the night (2 solo), while proving to be disruptive in the backfield. He also added a sack, a tackle for loss, and broke up a pass.

According to PFF, Curry also managed to pressure Ohio’s pair of quarterbacks seven times and won 35% of his pass rushes on his way to  earning a 91.8 pass rush grade.

The Buckeyes were one of just five teams with two players named to PFF’s team of the week in Week 3 joining Indiana, Stanford, Missouri and Baylor.
