Photos: Buckeyes Build Connections At Ohio State’s 7th Annual Job Fair
Taking a break from summer workouts, the Ohio State football team gathered Friday evening at Ohio Stadium for the Buckeyes’ seventh annual job fair.
The networking event, which took place inside the Huntington Club, featured 100-plus human resource representatives from more than 50 companies and a dozen business sectors.
Head coach Ryan Day and other staffers attended as the Buckeyes roamed the second floor of the Horseshoe and built connections, but director of player development Ryan Stamper served as the primary contact for the event.
“There aren’t many cities in American where you can have this kind of turnout,” Stamper said. “That’s one of the advantages of being located where we are — any career interest that our guys have, Columbus has, too.”
Official visitors in town for the weekend also got a taste of how OSU puts its “Real Life Wednesdays” program into action.
The targets included Houston Cy Ridge four-star defensive tackle Vernon Broughton (6-5, 286), Baltimore St. Frances four-star running back Blake Corum (5-9, 180) and Pickerington (Ohio) Central three-star defensive end Ty Hamilton (6-3, 250).
Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph Regional four-star center/offensive guard Luke Wypler (6-3 1/2, 285), who has been committed to Ohio State since July 7, was also in attendance.
