Ohio State Women’s Basketball Gets the No. 6 Seed In The Big Ten Tournament
With Rutgers hanging on to a 78-74 overtime win against Iowa, Ohio State will be a No. 6 seed in the Big Ten tournament next week.
The Buckeyes finished conference play with an 11-7 record and an 18-11 record overall, and have earned one bye for the tournament.
After the bottom-four teams in the Big Ten play Wednesday, Ohio State will take on the winner of the No. 11/14 matchup between Minnesota and Penn State.
The Buckeyes have a combined 3-0 record against the two teams, taking down the Gophers 66-63 on the road before blowing them out at home 99-76 on Feb. 13, while also defeating the Nittany Lions at home 80-70 on Jan. 12.
That game will take place 25 minutes after the conclusion of a 6:30 matchup between No. 7 Michigan and No. 10 Nebraska, and will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
Ohio State wrapped up its regular season with a 77-56 win against Purdue, and projected as a No. 9 seed for the NCAA tournament in ESPN’s most recent Bracketology on Feb. 25.
