Ohio State To Play Eight Home Games As Part Of Nonconference Schedule

Ohio State officially announced its 2025-26 nonconference schedule on Wednesday. The Buckeyes’ nonconference slate will notably feature a road matchup with the defending national champions, UConn on Nov. 16 and a matchup with TCU on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 19) as part of the Coretta Scott King Classic.
Before those games, though, the Buckeyes will open the season with home games on Nov. 9 and Nov. 16 against mid-major foes like Coppin State and Bellarmine, respectively. Then, after the game against the Huskies, Ohio State will take on in-state opponent Kent State on Nov. 19 at home.
During the week of Thanksgiving, Ohio State will travel to the Bahamas to participate in the Pink Flamingo Championship. It’s still unknown who Ohio State will face in that event, but games will be played on Nov. 24 and 26.
On Nov. 30, the Buckeyes will be back home for a game against Niagara, and after a lengthy break, will stay in Columbus to take on Northern Kentucky on Dec. 11. The Buckeyes will play three more non-conference home games in December, including ones against Toledo on Dec. 14, Norfolk State on Dec. 18, and Western Michigan on Dec. 22.
The Buckeyes’ matchup with TCU will be their last regular-season nonconference game.
