Ohio State Shortstop Henry Kaczmar Breaks Program Single-Season Doubles Record

Ohio State shortstop Henry Kaczmar made history Tuesday night, surpassing Ronnie Dawson’s single-season doubles record of 25 by tallying two doubles against Washington in the first round of the Big Ten tournament to set a new program record with 26 on the season.
Kaczmar tops the Big Ten in doubles and sits third nationally, trailing only Georgia Tech’s Carson Kerce (28) and Toledo’s Troy Sudbrook (32).
Kaczmar has played in all 53 games and ranks second on the Buckeyes with a .321 batting average to first baseman Dane Harvey. The senior also leads Ohio State with 70 hits and 129 total bases.
His efforts earned him All-Big Ten Second-Team honors alongside Harvey on Tuesday.
No. 6 seed Ohio State (29-24) will face off against No. 10 seed Rutgers (26-29) in an elimination game on Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb.
