Ohio State Safety Lathan Ransom Will Return For 2024 Season
Ohio State safety Lathan Ransom will return to Ohio State for his fifth year with the team in 2024 for his final year of eligibility, he announced on Instagram.
“It’s not easy to leave a team. It’s much harder to leave a Brotherhood,” the post read. “This football program and this university mean too much to me, and we have unfinished business. After much thought and prayer, I have decided to return to The Ohio State University for my final season in 2024.”
Ransom was injured against Wisconsin on Oct. 28 in the fourth quarter and was forced to sit out the remainder of the season, including the Cotton Bowl. Before his injury he had 34 tackles, 1 ½ for a loss, a forced fumble, two passes broken up and an interception.
With Sonny Styles returning to the secondary, he and Ransom project to be the starting safeties since Josh Proctor has no more eligibility.
Tyleik Williams has also already announced that he will return to Ohio State as well, and many others still have the same decision to make.
