Ohio State-Rutgers On Nov. 22 To Kick Off At Either Noon, 3:30 Or 4 P.M.

Following Ohio State’s nighttime matchup with UCLA in Ohio Stadium Saturday, they will return to the ‘Shoe during the day for its faceoff against Rutgers.
The kickoff time for the Buckeyes and Scarlet Knights’ clash will be set for either noon, 3:30 p.m. or 4 p.m.
The Big Ten has exercised its six-day selection window for Ohio State and Rutgers’ matchup, as the game’s kickoff time won’t be announced until after the Oct. 15 slate of games concludes.
Rutgers has never beaten Ohio State, dropping all 10 meetings in the series. The two teams haven’t faced each other since Nov. 4, 2023 — a 35-16 Buckeye win in Piscataway, N.J. — which remains the closest game between the Buckeyes and Scarlet Knights. That matchup is still the only time Rutgers has finished within 20 points of Ohio State.
The Buckeyes haven’t just defeated the Scarlet Knights, they’ve dominated them. Ohio State has beat Rutgers by 35-plus points eight times, 40 or more on four occasions, and by more than 50 twice.
In 2025, Rutgers has experienced an up-and-down season, sitting at 5-5 overall and 2-5 in Big Ten play. The Scarlet Knights are led by senior quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis — the nation’s seventh-leading passer with 2,705 yards and 17 touchdowns — as well as sophomore running back Antwan Raymond, who has rushed for exactly 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns on 5.0 yards per carry.
At the helm of Rutgers is former Ohio State associate head coach and defensive coordinator Greg Schiano, who coached the Buckeyes from 2016-18.
