Ohio State Ranked Atop AP Poll After 27-9 Win Over Michigan

After its 27-9 win over arch-rival Michigan on Saturday, Ohio State was still ranked atop the Associated Press’ top-25 poll.
The Buckeyes, which have been ranked at No. 1 every week since defeating Texas in Week 1, received 61 first-place votes in the poll. No. 2 Indiana was the only other team to receive first-place votes. The Hoosiers, which defeated Purdue 56-3 on Saturday, received five first-place votes.
Ohio State and Indiana will square off against each other in the Big Ten Championship on December 6.
Following behind Ohio State and Indiana in the rankings were No. 3 Georgia, No. 4 Oregon and No. 5 Texas Tech.
There wasn’t a lot of movement in the rankings, as many of the favorites won their respective rivalry games, but No. 7 Texas A&M moved down four spots in the poll. The slide for the Aggies comes after they fell to No. 14 Texas 27-17 on Friday.
Other than Ohio State, Indiana and Oregon, No. 17 USC and No. 18 Michigan were the only other Big Ten teams included in the rankings.
No. 22 Arizona, No. 23 Navy and No. 25 Missouri were added to the rankings after each team picked up respective wins during rivalry week.
Tennessee, Pittsburgh and SMU were all dropped from the rankings.
