Ohio State Men’s Basketball Schedules Home And Home Series With UConn

Ohio State men’s basketball has added a nonconference game for its next two seasons, with 2026 NCAA Tournament runner-up UConn on the schedule.

The first of the two games will be at UConn for the 2026-27 season before the Huskies head to Columbus for a rematch in the 2027-28 season.

The Huskies are just over a year removed from winning their last national title under head coach Dan Hurley.

The last time Ohio State matched up with UConn was Dec. 10, 2016, when the Buckeyes topped the Huskies 64-60 behind 33 combined points from Trevor Thompson and JaQuan Lyle. The year before that game, UConn topped Ohio State 75-55, the largest margin of victory between the two teams.

This will be the sixth time the two teams have matched up against each other, with UConn leading the all-time series 3-2.

The Buckeyes are set to open the 2026-27 season in Salt Lake City against BYU, have a road game scheduled against Notre Dame to finish the latter half of a home-and-home series, and play Kansas in the CBS Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden.
