Ohio State Hires Former Kansas Long Snapper Reilly Jeffers Offensive Assistant

According to a report from FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman, Ohio State has hired former Kansas long snapper Reilly Jeffers as an offensive assistant.

Jeffers, who played for the Jayhawks from 2012-14, spent last season as the tight ends coach at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville under former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer. Before that, he was a graduate assistant at Florida Atlantic, where he worked with the offensive line.

The addition of Jeffers is one of several coaching hires the Buckeyes have made in recent weeks, as head coach Ryan Day brought on former Vanderbilt interim head coach and offensive coordinator Todd Fitch and Arizona defensive coordinator Paul Rhaods as offensive and defensive analysts, respectively.

Ohio State also hired former safety C.J. Barnett as the program’s new director of player development for external affairs, replacing Ryan Stamper, who joined former head coach Urban Meyer’s staff with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
