Ohio State Freshman Defensive Tackle Jarquez Carter To Enter Transfer Portal, According To Report

Freshman defensive tackle Jarquez Carter is entering the transfer portal, according to a report from On3 Sports.

The 6-1, 288-pound defensive tackle played in seven games in his only season at Ohio State, making one total tackle.

Carter was a four-star prospect out of Newberry High School. He was ranked as the No. 198 overall player in the 2025 class, the No. 18 defensive lineman and the No. 31 player from the state of Florida.

Carter was a force at Newberry. During his junior season, Carter finished with 67 total tackles, including 37 for loss. He also had nine sacks and 15 quarterback hurries.

Carter is the third defensive tackle to enter the portal, joining Maxwell Roy and Eric Mensah.
