Ohio State Completes 2024 Recruiting Class, Signs Four-Star Defensive Lineman Dominic Kirks
Painesville (Ohio) Riverside four-star defensive lineman Dominic Kirks (6-4, 255) signed his national letter of intent with Ohio State on National Signing Day, completing the Buckeyes’ 2024 recruiting class.
Kirks, the No. 162 overall prospect and No. 24 defensive lineman, committed to Ohio State on Jan. 20 after decommitting from Washington, with whom he declined to sign with during the early signing period in December. During his senior season, he finished with 43 tackles – 12 for loss – with 11.5 sacks.
With Kirks’ signature, Ohio State has now signed all 21 scholarship recruits in the 2024 class. It features four five-star prospects – including wide receivers Jeremiah Smith and Mylan Graham, defensive end Eddrick Houston and cornerback Aaron Scott – and is considered the fifth overall class in the nation, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
In total, Ohio State’s class features six top-100 prospects, and all but three signees – running back Sam Williams-Dixon, defensive end Eric Mensah and safety Leroy Roker – are considered four-star prospects or better. Furthermore, Ohio State’s average player rating of .9280 is third in the nation behind Alabama (.9312) and Georgia (.9361), who hold the respective No. 2 and No. 1 spots in the overall class rankings.
