Ohio State Athletics Offering Tickets To Government Employees During Shutdown

The government shutdown has been on since Dec. 22, leaving thousands of U.S. federal employees in uncertainty.

Starting with tonight’s men’s basketball game against Maryland, which beings at 6:30 p.m., the Ohio State athletic department is aiming to help ease the stress. Beginning with that contest against the Terrapins, all federal government employees can receive two tickets free of charge to any Ohio State athletic event through the end of the shutdown, whenever that may be.

The free tickets cover sports including men’s and women’s basketball, men’s ice hockey, wrestling, women’s gymnastics and men’s lacrosse.

The offer can be redeemed on the day of any given even at the Athletics Ticket Office, which is at the northeast corner of the Schottenstein Center. Federal government employees use provide a valid federal government ID in order to receive the two complimentary tickets.
