Highlights: Ohio State Makes A Statement Against Wisconsin

It’s hard to believe that Ohio State was able to generate yet another blowout against Wisconsin given the quality of the Badgers, but that’s exactly what happened on Saturday afternoon as the Buckeyes swarmed their foes on the way to a 38-7 win. It was a day filled with big plays, big hits and a defensive performance for the record books from Chase Young. For all the highlights, Buckeye Sports Bulletin has you covered.

The game started not with explosive offense, as it has in most games this season, but with excellent defense. Chase Young came out lined up at linebacker and created a tackle for loss on one drive, before grabbing his first sack on the next drive.

A little later, Young made a return appearance, and picked up sack No. 2 on the day early in the first half.

Ohio State struck first on a long Blake Haubeil kick, despite heavy rain.

Just before the half, Ohio State scored again, on a familiar looking pass to Chris Olave to take a 10-0 lead into the half.

After a blocked punt led to the lone Wisconsin touchdown of the day, Ohio State’s offense kicked into gear, with Justin Fields finding the end zone from just a few yards out.

A drive later, J.K. Dobbins found the end zone, as Ohio State took a commanding 24-7 lead into the fourth quarter. The final period started just as the previous had ended, with a Buckeye touchdown from Dobbins.

Before that touchdown, Chase Young made another appearance, with his third sack of the day.

He capped his day off with one more sack.

Shortly after, Ohio State capped off its day with a touchdown pass to Chris Olave.

The Buckeyes take the field next on Nov. 9, when they take on Maryland in Columbus.
