Four-Star Wide Receiver Kayden Dixon Wyatt Flips To USC

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon Wyatt (6-2, 180) is no longer an Ohio State commit, flipping to USC on the first day of the early signing period. He flipped minutes after it was reported that Ohio State offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Brian Hartline would be taking the head coaching position at South Florida.

Dixon-Wyatt is the No. 135-ranked player in the country, the No. 21 wide receiver and the No. 15 player out of the state of California, and had been committed to Ohio State since May 4.

Dixon-Wyatt went to a junior camp at USC in February of this year and was offered a scholarship by the Trojans shortly thereafter. Dixon-Wyatt’s flip doesn’t come as a huge surprise. He was rumored to flip to USC in the days leading up to the early signing period. Dixon-Wyatt was a highly-coveted prospect and received several other offers, including ones from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon and Penn State.

As a junior at Mater Dei, Dixon-Wyatt went for 693 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 50 catches. The Buckeyes are still in solid shape at the receiver position in the 2026 class. Ohio State’s 2026 class includes Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei five-star Chris Henry Jr. (6-5, 205), Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northrop four-star Jerquaden Guilford (6-3, 190), Pataskala (Ohio) Watkins Memorial four-star Jaeden Ricketts (6-0, 187) and Southlake (Texas) Carroll three-star Brock Boyd (6-1, 180).

Only Boyd and Ricketts have signed at this point.
