Former Ohio State Kicker Jackson Courville Announces Transfer To Tulane

Former Ohio State kicker Jackson Courville is on the move again, announcing via his Twitter account that he will transfer to Tulane.

Courville’s transfer marks his second in as many years. The 5-10, 185-pound, Courville, committed to Ball State on June 5, 2023 and spent two years with the Cardinals. Courville was 26-for-34 on field goal attempts and 54-for-56 on extra point attempts.

In his lone season with the Buckeyes, Courville served as the backup kicker behind starter Jayden Fielding. The Dayton native did not attempt any field goals, but nailed all four of his point after tries

Courville becomes the 13th Ohio State player to secure their new destination in the transfer portal.

With Fielding exhausting his eligibility and Courville transferring out, Ohio State is now without a scholarship kicker on its roster. However, the Buckeyes did offer Pittsburgh (Pa.) Upper St. Clairsville kicker Jacobo Eccheveria on Jan. 2, who was ranked as the No. 10 kicker in the 2026 class according to Kohl’s Kicking Camps.
