Former Ohio State Defensive End Nick Bosa Named To Big Ten Network All-Decade Second Team

Ohio State has its third defensive end selected out of a possible four spots on the Big Ten Network’s Big Ten All-Decade teams, with Nick Bosa making his way onto the second team.

Chase Young and Nick’s brother, Joey Bosa, were named as both the defensive ends for the Big Ten All-Decade First Team.

Nick Bosa played three seasons at Ohio State, though his junior year was cut significantly short following a core injury against TCU in the third game of the 2018 season. He ended that year with 14 tackles, six tackles for loss, four sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in just over 10 quarters of play.

In his last full season with the Buckeyes, Bosa shined in his sophomore year with 34 tackles, 16 TFL and 8 1/2 sacks while also forcing another fumble. Coming in as a five-star recruit, Bosa’s true freshman campaign saw the end play in all 13 games and finish with 29 tackles, seven TFL and five sacks.

His success at Ohio State led to Bosa becoming a N0. 2 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He immediately brought the same level of success at the professional level that he did while with the Buckeyes, ending his rookie season with 47 tackles, 16 TFL, nine sacks, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and an interception. He was named Associated Press’ Defensive Rookie of the Year and helped the 49ers make a run to the Super Bowl.
