Former Ohio State DB Bradley Roby Signs Extension With Houston Texans

Bradley Roby, a former Ohio State cornerback from 2010-13, will be staying put in Houston.

The Texans signed Roby to a three-year, $36 million extension, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Roby joined Houston last season on a one-year, $10-million deal after five seasons with the Denver Broncos, who drafted the Buckeye corner with the 31st pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

He played in 10 games in his lone season thus far for the Texans, finishing with 38 total tackles (35 solo), eight pass deflections, two interceptions, a sack and a forced fumble.

Roby is one of three players on Houston’s roster currently from Ohio State, with running back Carlos Hyde and fellow cornerback Gareon Conley being the others.

Over his career, Roby has 274 tackles (246 solo), with 68 pass deflections, nine interceptions, eight forced fumble and four sacks over 89 total games. He also has won a Super Bowl when the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 24-10.

At Ohio State, Roby was named a Second-Team All-American by the Associated Press and First-Team All-Big Ten member in his final season with the Buckeyes.
