Former Houston Christian Punter Brady Young Commits To Ohio State

Ohio State has added yet another special teams commit to its 2026 transfer portal class, as former Houston Christian punter Brady Young has announced his transfer to Ohio State via his social media accounts on Wednesday.
Hailing from Perrysburg, Ohio, Young spent four seasons at Cincinnati without taking the field before transferring to Houston Christian in 2025.
As a fifth-year at Houston Christian, Young appeared in all 12 games for the Huskies, punting 69 times for an average of 41.8 yards, with a long of 66.
Young joins an Ohio State punting room alongside redshirt sophomore Joe McGuire, with both set to compete for the starting punter role in 2026. McGuire has handled punting duties for the Buckeyes over the past two seasons, averaging 42.4 yards on 29 punts in 2025.
Young is the third special teams grab for Ohio State in the transfer portal, as he joins long snapper Dalton Riggs (UCF/ BYU) and kicker Connor Hawkins (Baylor).
