Former Duquesne Guard Jimmie Williams Commits To Ohio State Out Of Transfer Portal

Ohio State made another transfer portal addition when former Duquesne guard Jimmie Williams committed to the Buckeyes on Saturday.
Williams is the third portal addition of the offseason for head coach Jake Diebler, joining former Cal guard Justin Pippen and former Kentucky big man Andrija Jelavic.
Williams is originally from Solon, Ohio, and after attending Wallace Community College, he joined South Florida for the 2024-25 season before heading to Duquesne for last year. At Duquesne, he started in all 33 games he played and averaged 15.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
When he was with the Bulls for his sophomore season, he averaged 7.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
The Buckeyes went into the offseason desperately needing depth in the backcourt with Bruce Thornton out of eligibility and Taison Chatman, Gabe Cupps and Mathieu Grujicic transferring away, and Williams helps add to that.
