Defensive End Caden Curry Selected By Indianapolis Colts In Sixth Round Of NFL Draft

Former Ohio State defensive end Caden Curry was selected by the Indianapolis Colts with the No. 214 overall pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday.
Curry, a former top-150 recruit in the 2022 class, blossomed into a very effective pass-rusher at Ohio State. Like many others, Curry had to wait his turn while members of the talented 2021 class had their chance in the spotlight, but that didn’t mean he didn’t make an impact as a backup.
As a freshman, Curry had 14 total tackles, including 1.5 for loss. His role didn’t improve much as a sophomore, but then as a junior, Curry found a role for himself as a backup behind starters Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau.
Helping Ohio State win its first national championship since 2014, Curry finished the 2024 season with 22 total tackles and 2.5 sacks. Curry, who was a regular disruptor as a special teamer, had a blocked punt that year against Purdue.
For the first time in his career, Curry became a starter as a senior and was the Buckeyes’ most productive pass-rusher last year. The Greenwood, Ind.- native finished the season with 66 total tackles, including a team-high 16.5 tackles for loss, to go along with a team-high 11 sacks.
Curry also had a team-high 8 quarterback hurries, two pass breakups, a forced fumble and another blocked punt. Curry earned second-team All-America honors from the AFCA and Walter Camp and third-team All-America honors from the Associated Press.
Curry joins a Colts team that went 8-9 last year. He is the 10th Buckeye to be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft.
