Ohio State Men’s Basketball Big Ten Single And Double Play Opponents Revealed

Ohio State has already been able to get some top nonconference opponents on its schedule for the 2026-27 men’s basketball season.

Now it also knows who it will have to go up against and where for the Big Ten schedule.

The Big Ten home, away and double-play schedule was released on Tuesday, and the Buckeyes’ conference slate was revealed.

The Buckeyes will host 10 games at the Schottenstein Center this season, with Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Oregon, Rutgers, Washington and Wisconsin making the trip to Columbus during the season for just one contest against the Buckeyes.

The other three home games will be against Iowa, Penn State and Michigan, each of which Ohio State will face off against twice during the season, the other matchup taking place on the road against those teams.

Diebler and Michigan head coach Dusty May have each advocated for keeping the home-and-home series between the two rival programs around. The Buckeyes will now have to play the reigning national champions twice this season.

The teams that the Buckeyes will go on the road to visit and play just once during the regular season are Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Purdue, UCLA and USC.

No dates have been attached to these games yet.

The Buckeyes are looking to take another step forward in head coach Jake Diebler’s third year as head coach of the program. Diebler was able to take his team to its first NCAA Tournament since the 2022 season last year, but lost in the first round to TCU.

Now, with a tough nonconference schedule, and what can prove to be a grueling Big Ten slate, Ohio State will need to have a strong regular season to make it back to the tournament, which was recently expanded to 76 teams.
