Availability Report: TreVeyon Henderson, Cam Brown Unavailable Against Northwestern, JSN Remains Out
Ohio State will continue to be without several starters against Northwestern, as running back TreVeyon Henderson, cornerback Cameron Brown and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba are all listed as unavailable against the Wildcats.
Henderson is a surprise scratch after playing in each of the last three games, though there have been struggles in recent games for the sophomore running back. He finished with just 38 yards on 11 carries against Iowa and got off to a slow start against Penn State before adding a pair of rushing touchdowns, including a 41-yarder.
Brown is out for his third consecutive game and his fourth of the season. Smith-Njigba remains out while recuperating from a hamstring injury, with no clear timetable on when he may return for the Buckeyes.
Ohio State’s offense will also be without several mainstays on the availability report this season, including wide receiver Kamryn Babb and running back Cayden Saunders, as well as running backs Evan Pryor and TC Caffey, who are out for the season.
Tight end Joe Royer, who has been listed as unavailable for most of the season, is not on Ohio State’s injury report for Northwestern, indicating that he will be available for the Buckeyes.
On defense, the Buckeyes will continue to be without safety Kourt Williams in addition to cornerback Lloyd McFarquhar, defensive end Mitchell Melton and linebacker Jalen Pace. Ohio State will also again be without a starter on special teams, as long snapper Bradley Robinson remains out.
There are no game-time decisions for Ohio State’s noon kickoff against the Wildcats.
