Austin Siereveld, Arvell Reese And Caden Curry Named Ohio State Offensive, Defensive Players Of The Game Versus Ohio

In Ohio State’s 37-9 victory over in-state rival Ohio, offensive tackle Austin Siereveld, linebacker Arvell Reese, and defensive end Caden Curry delivered standout performances and were named the Buckeyes’ offensive and defensive players of the week, the team announced Tuesday.
Siereveld anchored an offensive line that allowed only one sack against the Bobcats. After surrendering the sack on fourth-and-goal on the opening drive, Ohio State’s unit settled in and dominated, giving up no additional sacks and just one tackle for loss over the Buckeyes’ final nine possessions.
Reese was all over the field Saturday with seven total tackles (two solo), a sack, a tackle for loss, and two pass breakups.
The second defensive player of the game, Curry, flexed his muscles on the edge with four total tackles (two solo), a sack, a tackle for loss and a pass deflected. The senior was especially effective on third down, with three tackles, a sack, and a pass breakup — all of which forced fourth downs.
The trio are the next group of Buckeyes to be named the Ohio State’s players of the game joining cornerback Jermaine Mathews Jr. and defensive end C.J. Hicks in Week 1 and wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and linebacker Riley Pettijohn in Week 2.
