Arvell Reese And Sonny Styles Named Semifinalists For Butkus Award

Both of Ohio State’s starting linebackers are semifinalists for the Butkus Award after eight games.

Senior Sonny Styles and Junior Arvell Reese are among 12 semifinalists for the award, which is given annually to the top linebacker in the country.

Reese had one of his best games of the season against Penn State, with 12 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack. That added to his season total, which stands at a team leading 54 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and two passes broken up.

Styles is second on the team with 45 tackles, which included 2.5 tackles for loss, and he has added an interception and a forced fumble.
