2022 Connecticut Four-Star Center Donovan Clingan Includes Ohio State In Top Eight Schools

2022 Bristol (Conn.) Central four-star center Donovan Clingan had Ohio State among his final eight schools, along with Georgetown, Michigan, Notre Dame, Providence, Rutgers, Syracuse and UConn.

Clingan ranks as the sixth-best center and No. 42 overall player in the 2022 class. He is also listed as the top player from the state of Connecticut. The 7-1, 255-pound Clingan received his official offer from the Buckeyes on Nov. 16, 2020.

Ohio State currently holds the No. 1 overall class for the 2022 cycle, with commitments from Youngstown (N.Y.) Lewis Porter Senior four-star shooting guard Roddy Gayle Jr., Cincinnati Princeton three-star shooting guard Bowen Hardman and Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton four-star point guard Bruce Thornton.

The Buckeyes have had just one forward commitment between the 2021 and 2022 classes: Convoy (Ohio) Crestview three-star power forward Kalen Etzler.

There are currently no crystal ball predictions for where Clingan will end up.
