2021 Ohio State Four-Star Offensive Guard Target Rocco Spindler Commits To Notre Dame
Clarkston, Mich., four-star offensive guard Rocco Spindler committed to Notre Dame on Saturday afternoon over finalists LSU, Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State.

The Buckeyes had their fair share of interest in the 6-5, 315-pound Spindler — who is considered the third-best offensive guard and No. 48 prospect overall in the class of 2021 — but the staff plans to add just one more interior lineman this cycle to pair with Bellaire (Texas) Episcopal five-star Donovan Jackson, and Lexington (Ky.) Frederick Douglass four-star Jager Burton has long been their top remaining target to fill that need.
Ohio State also holds a commitment from Richfield (Ohio) Revere four-star offensive tackle Ben Christman, and offensive line coach Greg Studrawa hopes to round out that position with a pledge from Fairfax (Va.) Robinson Secondary five-star Tristan Leigh, as well.
While Spindler’s decision has little to no impact on the Buckeyes moving forward, it marks yet another significant blow to the Wolverine’s in-state recruiting efforts, as seven of Michigan’s top 11 prospects have opted to go elsewhere — including Clarkston’s teammate, four-star offensive tackle Garrett Dellinger, who committed to LSU in June.
