  • St. Louis Cardinal Ritter College Prep five-star wide receiver Luther Burden committed to Oklahoma. The Ohio State target is the No. 2 wide receiver and No. 14 overall prospect in the country for the 2022 class, as well as Missouri’s top recruit.
  • Ohio State offered 2022 Cumming, Ga., tight end Oscar Delp.
  • Fairfax, Va., five-star offensive tackle Tristan Leigh will visit Ohio State for the Buckeye Bash recruiting visit on Oct. 24.
  • Former Ohio State commit for the 2021 class, Katy (Tx.) Tompkins four-star defensive end Tunmise Adeleye announced his new top three schools, which included Alabama, Florida and Texas A&M.
  • 2021 Oradell (N.J.) four-star defensive tackle Tywone Malone discussed why he left Ohio State out of his top six schools. “The big key was the baseball part of things,” Malone said, “I really haven’t been talking to Ohio State’s baseball program as much as these other schools. Coach (Ryan) Day, Coach (Larry) Johnson and I were calling and texting a lot and that’s what I really liked about Ohio State. But like I said, baseball is a big thing in my recruitment and that was making it tough.”
  • 2022 Kettering (Ohio) Archbishop Alter four-star linebacker C.J. Hicks, an Ohio State commit, announced he was invited, and will accept the invitation, to the 2022 All-American Bowl.
  • Ohio State four-star cornerback commit Jordan Hancock has opted back into his senior season after initially sitting out because of his parents underlying health issues and his desire to limit interactions amid the pandemic. He’s set to make his debut tomorrow evening in Suwannee (Ga.) North Gwinnett’s game against Mill Creek.
  • Ohio State four-star cornerback commit Andre Turrentine suffered a minor ankle injury in Nashville Ensworth’s 45-25 win over Westview on Oct. 9. He’s hopeful he’ll be able to return to action following the Tigers’ open week, however.
  • Akron Archbishop Hoban three-star safety A.J. Kirk, the younger brother of former Ohio State safety Mike Doss, committed to Michigan State on Oct. 13.
