In-State OT Trey Leroux Commits To Ohio State

Ohio State continued its in-state recruiting push Monday evening with a commitment from Norwalk offensive tackle Trey Leroux.

The 2020 prospect stands at 6-8 and 320 pounds as a high school junior, adding a needed boost up front for the Buckeyes’ next class.

The Buckeyes got in on Leroux early, becoming one of a few Power 5 programs to extend an offer, which came down March 8 during an unofficial visit to Ohio State that included a meeting with head coach Ryan Day in his office.

As things stand, Leroux is the nation’s No. 911 overall prospect and No. 91 offensive tackle, according to 247Sports, and he doesn’t not yet have a composite ranking. That said, he’s likely to see a boost in that ranking as the process continues.

Leroux is Ohio State’s seventh commitment for 2020 and the fourth offensive line commit in the class, joining Cincinnati St. Xavier five-star tackle Paris Johnson, Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph Regional four-star center Luke Wypler and Cincinnati Elder three-star tackle Jakob James.
